It is also associated with low levels of help-seeking. The current study aimed to explore stress and wellbeing in farmers with a focus on possible mediators and outcomes. Members of the farming community (n=274 -199 males and 75females) completed questionnaire measures of stress, loneliness, mental health and wellbeing, help seeking, coping and support.

Two cases of Kernohan-Woltman phenomenon were identified as secondary to traumatic brain injury caused by acute subdural hematoma

The Kernohan-Woltman phenomenon is a rare but serious neurological condition that occurs as a result of uncal herniation. This happens when the brain’s uncus or temporal lobe moves downwards and presses against the brainstem, causing pressure on the contralateral cerebral peduncle. This pressure can result in compression and restricted blood flow to the affected area, leading to potentially severe neurological symptoms. The symptoms of Kernohan-Woltman phenomenon can vary depending on the extent of the herniation and the amount of pressure being applied to the cerebral peduncle.

Axillary supernumerary breast, an atypical location for invasive lobular carcinoma, A case report

The frequency of breast tissue outside the mammary gland, or supernumerary breast, is rare, with a reported incidence in women of 0.3 to 6% [1]. This tissue is typically located in the armpit [1,2], ectopic tissue can be the site of benign or malignant physiological variations similar to normally located breast tissue. The axilla is the most common site, while the sternal, infra-clavicular, epigastric, and vulvar regions have also been described. We report a case of infiltrating lobular carcinoma of the axillary supernumerary breast managed at the Tidjini HADDAM Cancer Center in Sidi bel abbes in ALGERIA.

Activating brown fat could be a healthy solution for weight loss

Obesity is a sign of our times. It has various causes, including lack of exercise, laziness and a high-carbohydrate diet. Fortunately, there is a physiological way to lose weight: it is the activation of brown fat. This fat is designed by nature to generate warmth or heat and burn or consume calories in the process. The trigger for this is exposure to coolness and cold. Several methods exist for this purpose, the most effective of which is spending a few minutes in a cold chamber (cryotherapy). There are now a number of scientific studies that prove that this mechanism should be integrated into the weight loss routine.
